I was reading on another BB on taking 19lb. injectors from late 80's and early 90's 5.0L and swapping them into their non-H.O 4.0L. A direct replacement. They said the only difference was the price, the 5.0L being much cheaper, and the 5.0L's had a wider spray.

Has anyone heard of doing this/done this?

I did it, I had a few leaky injectors, replaced them with reman'd ones first ($55 each), then a few more started leaking, I bought 8 used 5.0 injectors for around $35 and a seal kit for like $8.

I can't tell you I noticed an improvement performance wise, but they have been working well for me for about 10k miles with no leaks or anything.

Its a direct swap.

I bought a set of 6 new Accell 19lbs injectors from Jegs.com a year ago for $170 or so. They work well. Engine ran better, the the orginals had 190K miles and leaked so of course the new one were better!

I've never done that exact swap...but a lot of "us" in the Dodge Truck arena used to swap out FMS injectors...

a great place to buy them is here:

it appears the orange Design III injectors are for the 86-95 5.0L...so that's probably the ones you'd want...

I've always gotten great service from Bruce...
