Recently acquired a 5 port orbital which is an older PSC model. Sticker say FH-SV 160/4...but it has a 5th port and fitting in the middle. Its currently hooked to a 2x8 TSC Ram. What is the purpose of the 5th fitting in the center. Logic says it cant just be plugged...but where would I run it? Anyone experience, tips, tricks?

Just guessing that FH is a model designation. SV would stand for Steering Valve and 160 is the cc's of displacement the pump has based on what I've seen while researching other orbitals.

If all the other hoses are routed correctly & you already have a return. The 5th port would be a AUX, port. This more than likely is an oribital with a built in priority flow. The aux port will control whatever cyl. but when the steering is turned it will use the oil before the cyl. gets it.

You can run it back to tank. Don't plug it, may caus it to run over a relief & cook your oil & system before you know it. Some you can some you can't.

Preciate the info...anyone else have experience with an orbital like this? Or have a fluid resi that has 2 inlet ports? PSC has them but damn they are expensive for an aluminum can.
