67 scout upgrade to dana 30...

Currently have front Dana 27 closed knuckles in my scout, was wondering if a Dana 30 (open knuckle) out of a Jeep would bolt right up, requiring little to no modification, if so what year?

I think you could make it work, but why not find a dana 44 from a later scout and swap it in?

How apart are the spring perches on the dana27? Most CJ dana 30's are right around 27.5" Most dana 44's are going to be in the 31.5" range.

If you look in Classifieds my brother has a Dana 44 with passanger side drop and 32" perches for sale. It is geared 4.10 Don't know what your scout is geared?
