So the ol 94.5 has an injector that is right on the verge of totally crapping the bed. I think it may just be a Oring problem but I’m gonna pull em all anyway so I guess I might as well replace em? I guess? Right? So what are your thoughts and what injectors would you stick back in the hole? They are stock as far as I know with 335000 on them. I would like to step them up just a tick from stock if possible like just the next step up. Ok shoot.

Read all the fine print on the Powerstroke injectors as many of the "Stage 1" or other mild upgrade injectors will only flow at the factory rate unless you put a tuner on the truck to unlock the real higher flow rates. IIRC that is how the really common "Baby Swamps" injectors are. So spending more on some hot injectors may not net you any gain unless you pony up for a tuner too.

At 335k miles I would probably just put it back to stock with good remanned injectors, new orings, new cups and a Motorcraft UVCH.

My opinion, unless your ready to upgrade the HPOP, turbo, and buy a performance chip you’re probably better off getting stock remans. Full Force seems to be the brand to get these days, but I’m sure there are other reputable companies people here have dealt with.

Thank you for your advice gentlemen. Stock it is and yes I have a tuner already. My 00 f550 has the same tuner with baby swamps in it (we bought it that way) and honestly when you turn up the tuner to get a little power you get it but also a LOT of smoke which in not a fan of at all. Oh yes I am planning on glow plugs valve cover wiring harness the whole 9 while I got it tore down. Thanks again gentlemen.
