i have been helping a friend swap his tranny
had a 700r, going to turbo 350.
found out it is about 3" shorter. it doesnt have the wire connectors the 700 had.
but after geting done we cranked it up and there was a loud clanging coming from the converter. and it wouldnt move in gear. i unbolted the converter and it slid back in away from the flywheel. so for the converter to be all the way in the tranny it is almost 1/2" away from the flywheel. i have done alot of reading on this swap and havent heard anything like this. any help what to do now would be appreciated.
