80 Dollars of scrap, a hacksaw, and JB WELD -Bedrails I made.

Here they are finished.

I have a Gr8tops Half Hardtop on my jeep. I had to cut the rear kickers off the roll cage, and ever since i had some body flex and other flexy type problems. I saw on the Gr8tops website a cutomer had some bed rails to stiffen things up. I took his idea and tied them together across the back. Now my jeep rides like it did with the rear kickers and the full hard top on. Much better.
Anyway on with the pictures.

Eric, the guy that made the bed rails. I didn't use JB weld, but I did use 80 dollars of scrap.
I had no idea Eric could weld. He does body work and we were talking about the jeep and he offered to make them, and I could help him.
He said he can fab up anything, and if you wanted something done, he could do it. I wanted to give him a quick shout out cause these things turned out 300% better than I had thought they could/would.

There you go. I think they turned out great, and I have a few more ideas for the rails for camping/fishing liek activities.

Yeah, those BL levels are easy to lose. I lost at least a half dozen over the weekend.

1/4 inch plate is a bitch to drill with no drill press.
