I have a 1981 toyota, I have a 2" shackle in the rear and just added a 3" leaf spring in the front(stupedlift  ) with the stock shackle. Would like to know if i need to change the steering arm? I know i have seen a lot of lifted yota's with the S shaped steering arm.

If your wheeling hard, and want it to flex well and not brake, you'll need to some sort of crossover. Marlincrawler.com

Procomp make a beefy link that you are talking about that has an S bend. I used it for quite a while when I had my toy. Sells for about 60-70 bucks.

Yea, get rid of the block before you kill yourself. Lift blocks on the front are extremely dangerous. Do it right. You need new springs and a crossover steering like was mentioned above. You'll need a steering box out of an IFS truck. The easiest way to do it is to buy a kit from someone like trail gear or the like. But you absolutely need to get rid of that front block!

my budy has a drop drang link that I'm sure he would let go for cheap. I will ask him what he wants for it and then let you know.
