84 yota trans.

You might want to be a little more clear on what went wrong. Did you loose the clutch? Are you missing any gears? Is it stuck in gear? What were the problems occuring before the total failure occured?

I was doing some back wood weelin. Smelled the clutch buring on the way home it gave out. Its not stuck in gear its really loose and wolnt engage.

Shifter is loose? Could be just the bushing under the shifter. That and a burnt clutch. If it is the trans, put in a W-56 or an R-151 out of a turbo truck if you can find one. Both will bolt right in and the R-151 has a lower first gear.

Took the transmission out....and....booom the clutch...gone tousands of fibers. Everything else looks clean and clear. Looks like im looking for a new clutch or used trans. Any advice?

Well, you gotta do a clutch, that's a given. If you want a different trans, now is the time, but odds are the old one is fine.

It's probably just the clutch. Does trans spin by hand while removed? (Try all you gears doing this.) If they all work, you just wore the clutch out. It's a wear item, it happens.

You might want to have that flywheel re-surfaced, and inspect the rear crank seal while you got it torn down.
