I'm building my son a 1985 Toyota x-cab 4x4 truck. A friend of mine gave me a 4" lift off of his truck, the lift was on it when he bought it. We don't know who made the lift. I've called Daystar, Energy Suspension, and Prothane and all say "they can't help me by the size", to find new bushings. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks, Johnny

call trail-gear, marlin, or all-pro. One of them should be able to help you. These companies frequently have customers using aftermarket or junkyard springs on should know what works on what. Trail-gear was VERY helpfull for myself and a friend when we redid the SAS on his 4runner using jeep springs.

from what research i did trying to solve this problem,
Toyota bushing: .71" or 18mm ID
1.173" or 29.8 mm OD

If you use the napa part lookup on the web, "sometimes" it gives you dimensions on parts. Put the parts counter guys can't get you the same info???????

I was really pissed that manufacturers couldn't/wouldn't be able to get me the dimensions of their products.

I'd stick with rubber, and leave the poly stuff alone. $.02
