In process of doing a ground up resto of my k-5. Ran into a snag with the pass. side window motor. The window wouldnt go up or down, so i figured bad motor. Replace motor, nothing. Checked voltage at the motor, 12 volts. Replaced motor a 3rd time, same story. The door is out of the truck, but everything is wired up how it should, and like i said, it is getting power to the motor. The locks work fine, just no windows. replaced the 30a fuse for master window, nothing. Am i missing something? if the motor is getting power, it should work. doubt 3 motors are bad, since 2 of them were brand new, not remanfactured. Any relays or fuses im missing?

i guess i would ground the motor to the neg batt terminal with a jumper wire to make sure the motor and window regulator works and then go from there. could be a bad switch as transman said.

no the switch works as it should, when i push down, one blade gets power to motor, up, other blade gets 12vlts. Ive heard that the negative from the driver door runs the passenger door. the driver door is unhooked as well, could that be why its not working? i dont think this matters, but the batt only has about 8 volts. but it would still make a click or attempt to go down.

Yea the power or ground one for the passenger door comes from the driver door switch. Plug in the other door and see if it works then. Ive seen lots of driver door switches cause window to not work from either switch.
