88 4 runner problem, help me

I got my 88 4 runner about 2 months ago and when you stopped at a light and put it in gear. Once it starts rolling it make a click sound or a pop. I decide to have 4.88's install and new cv axles and brake. It still pops and I can't find it, it drives fine. any idea's. thanks steven

Have you checked your u-joints?

Mine did the same thing right before I broke the driveshaft yoke. Turns out the flange had cracked & was making a popping/rattling sound.

put it on a lift & check it good.

Mine made the same sound before I broke an ear or the driveshaft...the bolts had come loose and it only had one holding it in....broke it wheeling at brown mtn. I put 3 back in it and it has held up fine. If it turns out that you need a new driveshaft then I have a good one.
