88 XJ Front Axle Leaking?

We have a 88 Cherokee XJ with the stock Dana 30 front axle. It's leaking fluid out of the one axle tube and it started when i pulled the axle to replace the ball joints, how and where in the axle seal?

The D30 axle seal is inside the pumpkin. To change, you gotta pull the axle shafts, then start working inside the pumkin...remove cover, pull the carrier, then you'll see the axle shaft seal.

Pull the carrier????? Will this change any of the R/P Settings?

nope....as long as you note the placement of any shims for the carrier, put them back where they came from, you'll be good. Also keep the carrier bearing caps on the correct side and orientation, the last axle I looked at had an up arrow cast into each cap, but nothing showing left and right.
 
Last Question

Do i need any speical tool to remove the seal?
