89 4runner motor swap from v-6 to 22r

yotatech.com might help.

Need computer w/ wire harness and injectors for that year comp. 1985-1987, 88 or 89-on are different. I would go with 1985 setup. You need a new tranny because the 4 and 6 cyl bell housings are not interchangable. also the MAF is needed.
Starter from 3.slo will work on 22R block.

uh sorry the 22r doesn't need the fuel injection so all you need is the motor intake and carb stuff.

Why the 22r and not the 22re or 22ret?
If you have the v6 tranny than you can swap in better Yota engines such as the 3.4L, 4.0 Lexus, 7gmt, 7gm (supra or cressida) or domestic motors 350, 351, vortec, 302, etc.
They all cost about the same in the long run.

You don't necessarily have top repelace the whole transmission, you can actually unbolt the belhousing and swap that for one from a 22r/e vehicle.

And x2 on a good opportunity to upgrade, I'm assuming the choice of 22r is b/c that's what you have on hand... but if not, for only a shade more $$ you can do a 3.4l and have a snotload more power.

yes i do have a 22 r on hand that i was going to build upfrom the ground to find the line between power and gas mileage this is also my daily driver.any ideas on building the motor thinking of dual side drafts and cam thanks so far
