hey guys i got a 89 gmc suburban 1/2 ton truck and was tryin to think of cheap ways to put a couple inches on it. i got some friends that have some 3/4 ton springs and was thinkin about puttin them on the truck. will they work? will my existing spring purches work and spring plates? i no some of you guys on here are all about some fullsize stuff so if you could help me out that be awsome. thanks Drew

The springs should work off the 3/4. They will be a little stiffer though. Check out
www.colorakok5.com,
www.carolinak5.com they are basically fullsize chevy only and can be extremely helpful with gm questions. As far as the rear goes you could add a set of blocks to bring it up.

I would do an AAL before I would swap in 3/4 ton springs. I have a 3/4 ton 90 and it is the roughest riding truck I have ever had. It is stiffer than any 1 ton I have ever been in. I had a K5 with an AAL in the front , 2 in. block in the back and it rode like a Caddy compared to my Sub.
