89 yj half doors on a 82cj7???

Is it possible to put yj half doors on a jeep cj7. I measured the striker location on the cj and the yj and put the half doors on but the latches are still sitting about 1/4 to a 1/2 in. too high. Am i missing something, or is it even possible to do easily.

I thought they were interchangable. You can adjust the part on the body if needed.

I had that problem after I got my jeep painted. Just loosen the bolts on the hinges and moved the door till it latches' then tighten.

As long as the latches are the same type you should be able to do what has been mentioned above
