I have a 89 YJ that runs out of gas with 5 gallons left in the tank. It has the stock 15 gallon tank. At first I thought it was the vacuum hose to the purge tank, but that wasn't the fix. Any suggestions? I'm leaning towards replacing the sending unit.

could be the Pick up is rusted thru/broken off. pull the sender and check it out.
Oh, and you'll probably have better responces from teh Tech Section, not in the Board Woes (as in you're having difficulty with using this board).
