So, spacers used to be frowned upon but I hear the quality is getting better. I need a temporary 5lug solution will I rebuild my 8lug axles. My 5x5.5lug axles need new tires and I don't wanna buy new 38sx15s while I rebuild my axles over the next 1.5yr. I have 16.5 8lug wheels with my newer axles. I can get 37-16.5r military tires for $30/tire near me. It'll be a DD until the rebuilt axles go in and the wheels will just convert over. And by DD I mean, enjoy the summer sun on the weekends.

Is the quality still too unsafe to do this? Any suggestions on which adapter? The one I've seen looks like it needs to be a two piece deal do to the alignment

I'm still searching for used tires but I don't wanna spend $400+ on a temp job. I'd rather benefit keepin the tires and reusing the rims I have

show me the wheels. I haven't found any yet.

sweet thanks, discount tire said they couldn't find any. they also told me they won't mount 16.5 tires b/c of the difficulty getting them to seal properly on the wheel. I thought that was just H1 wheels. Are all 16.5 wheels like that? I'm partial to the white wheels $$ on summit which is the way I'd prob go, so those in particular i guess

H1 wheels are 2 piece double beadlocks, that is why they are hard to mount. A normal 16.5 wheel does not have a safety bead like all the other wheels. I have never had a prob. mounting them though.
