I've got the shafts out to take the third out now, would it be smart to make a spacer and straighten my retaining plates? Or just roll on and not worry about it?
Yes, make or buy a spacer, and buy some new retainer plates because they're cheap and there's no reason to use the old ones again if they're bent.. New plates are $15-20 from Summit or wherever.
Sounds like a plan.
I removed the third and noticed my pinion is a little loose. I have no experience setting bearing preload or using crush sleeves...
Anyone know any good shops near Greensboro that would fix this and let me watch so I can learn?
