91 Exploder SAS

Been collecting parts the past couple months to do a SAS on my 91 Explorer. Going to start swapping them in here before to much longer.
Going with a radius arm setup. That should hopefully work pretty decently.
Here is what I got so far.
Front hp44 with new brakes, 4.88 gears, spartan locker, and Ruff Stuff diff cover.
Rear 9" with 4.88 gears, powertrax locker, Ruff Stuff diff guard and axle simple swap kit, and disc brakes.

Parts from James Duff. Extended radius arms, bolt on coil buckets, 5.5" EB springs, lower coil retainers, and bolt on track bar bracket.

Also get 4 12" travel and 2 10" James Duff shocks and a set of bolt on shock hoops.

Wheels with rock rings.

1 ton TRE kit.

Also going to be swapping in a doubler kit at the same time. Got a D.D. Machine doubler kit.

Going to ditch my electric compressor for the oba and picked up a York at the junkyard and rebuilt it and put a serpentine clutch on it.

They have been selling the coil buckets for a while now. The trac bar bracket there just now starting to produce them so you have to call and get on the list for it.

I got the first one made off there jig. Here it is.

Looks like a good start. I didnt know DD machine was still making the doubler kit. did you buy that recently?

I bought it a few months back. Hes still making them and said he had plenty in stock when I got mine.

Started tearing it apart Friday night. Got this far. Getting closer.

Its on its on weight. Still got to put the brakes on shocks on, finish weld everything and driveshafts and I can drive it. Then going to swap in the doubler.

I've always loved James Duff stuff, thhey seem to provide spot on stuff without the un-needed frills. I ran one of their kits with great performance and travel on a B2. What kind of bushings do they run on the arms?

I see the front c's but how's the rear attached with the two bolt hole pattern on the arm in the parts pick?

There is 2 bushings that go into the rear c's and then the rear c's are just bolt to the arm.

GM calipers with speedway motors weld on brackets and geo tracker rotors.

wow, wicked (tie rod) flex. haha nice work though truck looks good. How does she drive on the road? Any bumpsteer?

Got the doubler in and made up some shifters for it.

Still got to cut the shifters off even and thread them for some knobs so dont mind them.

Had MarsFab fab me up a new trans crossmember to go over the front driveshaft.

Finally got the doubler shifter knobs put on.

Tore the front end down yesterday and put in a ARB I got for a deal.

Also ordered a set of chromo axles friday so thats next on the list of things to do.

Went up to Callalantee last weekend to try it out. Did pretty good. I love the doubler. Found the weak link with the doubler though. Busted a couple front joints and also broke a driveshaft on the ledge on armor all. Cant wait to get it back together and god back and try them all over.

Found a little snow on one side of the mountain

Got these in the mail yesterday. Maybe these will fix the u joint problem I was having.

Got some drive flanges on the way also.
