Picked this truck up a couple of weeks ago to have something to wheel while I build my FJ40...but like anything else I can't leave it untouched.

Specs - 22re, 5spd, duals w/marlin 4.7 in rear case, 5.29 gears, arb locked front with long outers, detroit locked rear, flat bed, all-pro 4" springs and warn 9000hs and 38.5x14.5x15 TSL SXs.

Wheelbase is ~108" and frame height at the doors is ~28-29"...so pretty tall. Springs are close to 8 years old so I imagine they've settled as much as they will.

I've done a bunch of reading on Pirate and the consensus is varied on which leafs to remove from the front and rear packs to lower. I'm thinking maybe removing 1-2 leafs up front and 2 leafs rear but which ones???

Anyone with experience or advice, please share.

Couple of pics -

Longer leaves provide the most of the spring rate, and lift (arch)
shorter leaves provide less spring rate, and the only lift they provide is the thickness of the leaf.

I'd start with one long leave, and one short, well no I'd leave it alone as it fits in the garage and judging from your other pic it works well on the trails. Tuning leaf springs is a major PITA.
