Hi guys...I'm from Virginia Beach, VA; I've lurked on here for a few years now, but never really posted. Figured I would post my build thread and see what kind of response I get. This build so far has all taken place in Crozet, VA (2.5-3hrs away); so my progress is only about once a month. I've been building it since about December 09 after I got rid of my 1 ton XJ.

My buddy Chris; I'm sure alot of you guys have met him if you wheeled at Crozet, has helped me throughout the build and without him I definitely could have not gotten this far. Thanks Chris!!!

Good looking build. Looks like you guys get alot accomplished each time you work on it. Looks like it will be a well performing truggie. Keep up the picks and good work.

Then when I get out of surgery, i get settled in my wife tells me my grandmother passed away....probably the most awesome women on the planet next to my mom...

Sorry to here about your grandma. I had one thats was just like another mother to me. I bought Craig's (runnastunna) motor, trans, transfer. Top notch guy. Build is still looking great. Keep it up man.

out back they are SAW 2.0 16in, up front i will be run SAW 2.0 14in...Craig is definitely a top notch dude...

btchin build as always eric. HEard you cant make the EOD run at crozet due to prior "arrangements" Sean was tellin me about. Hope to catch up later on & check out the new rig

yeah prior "arrangements" allow me to keep me doin this wheeling...It should be out late summer or so...

Nice looking rig I know all bout the tough crowd sometimes I think I'm the only one that posts on my thread lol bump for another badass toyota

Big Brown Santa came early and dropped these off...

14in 2.0 SAW Airshocks for the front

hopefully have the full hydro and the trail gear order by the end of the month if all goes as planned and then on with the building...

going to Newport News Saturday to have a buddy cut me out some gussets on the Torchmate for the cage and link brackets to tie everything together. Also going to get him to build a truss for the front axle around the trail gear 3 link kit (he doesn't know that yet).

suck down winch bracket made by a buddy on his torchmate; HF ATV winch w/ Rockstomper 3/8" synthetic (not pictured).

He's also building a truss for the front 85 axle that will incorporate the knuckle gusset. I told him to take it easy when he welds it so he doesn't warp the housing.

Gonna put the housing in the mill also and shave it too probably...probably would be better off with a rock assault housing but whatever...

saw your junk on pirate, i really like the rear tube work. ill always miss my 3rd gen

Nice build. Everything looks good.

Watch out on that rear winch. The drum will colapse on that thing. You need to look for one with supports.

after looking a little closer at the drum, it did look bit chincy....i might see if it will fit a warn or something....which atv winches have supports....

something else to add to the parts pile going in this pile of shit....

ai41.photobucket.com_albums_e287_akxj_0524001642.jpg

Trail gear 4.7 gears 23 spline
Trail gear Dual Transfer Case Adapter
Trail gear Twin stick shifters
Longfield Toyota Output Shaft, 4340 Chromo rear T-case Output Shaft

replacing this:

which will be up for sale....

A buddy helped me out since I'm still looking for a welder...he cut down the bottom of the housing for me and welded on a 3/8" plate on the bottom, he also milled it for the ring gear to raise it up a little more...probably gained about an 1-1.5" or so....we'll see how it works out...also picked up some 38x12.50x15 SX's and some old rockstomper beadlocks that need the outer rings from PA while I in Rausch Creek wheelin with some buddies...
