95 4.0 into 86 CJ

Got a good motor out of 95 XJ , swapping into CJ7 w T5 trans and dana 300 , I helped a buddy 20 years ago do one but need help w harnesss install and mods i have to do to make it fit, anyone done one and have the build on paper ? Parts needed ? Harness diagram ? Been doing a little reasearch , thanks for help!!

Was the CJ a 6 or 8 cylinder?

6 cylinder for 6 cylinder will bolt right in with the CJ motor mounts

Leave the XJ harness/ecu alone and splice in the constant hot, switched hot and stater solenoid wires.

Running 02 sensors?

Was the XJ automatic?

There is a 3 part YouTube series that really helped me, along with the CJ wiring diagram

Search for '4 wires to fire Jeep' or something similar
