I own 97 tj I am planning on lifting it here in the next month or so I want to run 33 12.50 procomp xterrain. I am not planning on doing any extreme stuff, i like going to URE and doing some minor 4x4 I don't believe I want to spend the money to go extreme right now. I was looking at some of the rough country 4" lifts any suggestions?

Yeah more people are getting the rough country lift now. RC says they redesigned their kits so they are better quality than the old kits. Everyone says they have really good customer service and if something does break they will send it to you. It should be fine for light wheeling

i'd look at the rough country 2.5" and a 1" body lift, cause with the 4" you'llneed an sye and cv drive shaft, or at least have a big transfercase drop, but the 2.5" would work well, i've got a 2" skyjacker and 1.25" bl and it fits 33's fine

I have had the RC 4in lift on my 99 Tj for the last 2.5 years with no issues. I dont have a SYE (yet) with no vibrations. I started with a 2in coil spring spacer lift and 2in body lift...much happier now. Dont know about customer service, havent needed it.

Thanks for the information I beleive I will go with 4" lift everything I read says I don't need any drive shaft mods for this lift I just wanted to know if RC lifts were good they seem to have some good pricing.

i have a 1997 tj 2.5 with 4in RC springs and the rest is bds but i like the springs they ride good and i dont have sye, still running stock drive shafts. all i have is a trans. drop. so i recommend it the 4in you will like it

The only trouble I have seen with a 4in lift on a tj is if it was a automatic transmission jeep. You still pick up vibration because the transmission mount is in the wrong place. you can get some of it out if you put a polly mount in it. Rough Country also makes a 3in lift. No worries.

Thanks for all info I beleive the skyjacker looks good! I just need to find where the shop is I liked to pick teh kit up this weekend or the first part of next week.
