Ok i am soon to be replacing my tires with most likely BFG AT's. Stock im running 265's but think I want to go with 285's or possible 305's. There will be limited off road action, some trails maybe to so light mud. My question is about what tire to pic and has anyone ever done a body lift on a 88-98 full size? How hard is it to do? how long should it take? Do you have to adjust the fan cover? Is there a 1 inch body lift? 2" is the maxx I would go. Also i only have the 5.0 and its a 5 speed so I dont want to loose much power by going with bigger tires. Any input would be helpful?

I did a 3" on a '98 & it was fairly straight forward....

Offroad design has a 1" body lift.....

We did it all in 3 hours w/ 4 people....we ate too...LOL

I've got 285 BF's on Python wheels on my Tahoe, I cranked the torsion bars just a little. It only rubs when it's turned fully to one side and like crossing a ditch or something, nothing crazy with it, it's my daily driver. I was running 285 mt's on stock wheels with no rub because of the offset difference.

I looked and they dont sell a 1" for that year just earlyer trucks. If anyone has any other ideas on where I can find one let me know. I am sticking with 285's nothing larger. I know I would be ok stock but I just want a little lift.

They will come up w/ one if you call them....not everything is on the website.
