Someone talk me out of buying this thing.

I can get a real deal on it.
Body and interior are in great shape.

Top end of motor needs re-assembly but is all there. New(re-man) head.

Stock tires are in good shape too. Paint is great. Soft top.
Automatic tranny, 2.0 motor.

I am thinking of getting it and running it in ECORS class A.

Whatcha think? Do these things make any power at all?

i dont think you should buy it. but i will come by and help you turn screws if you want.

We'll see. Dude said 400 dollars, I told him I was too broke for another toy, and I needed to drop some coin on my xj. He said....pick it up now, and pay me when you can.

He's a long time family friend and just wants to see it used. Money dont matter much, to him.

I just wondered if anyone knew anything about these units.

they are surprisingly top heavy. ive seen quite a few of them wrecked around here on these curvy roads, paved and dirt. one of my old school buds rolled his at about 30-35 mph on a loose gravel road, brand new, no lift or anything.
Couldnt be any more top heavy than my xj on 36's, could it?

It looks like a cool truck to trash out at a race, thats what I was thinking anyway.

Oh well, maybe I'll get it, fix it, drive it, sale it...IDK

yeah, I was gonna say that too, be a good investment either way. get it fixed and drive it down a dirt road and kinda feel it out. if you want to race it then do so, or just sell it on craigslist and pocket some cash. :huggy:

buy it, race the piss out of it, and then take it to the scrap yard. Its almost a free vehicle Dylan, why even ask?!

Dylan...
by the record, you have an ace in the hole w/ your XJ in B class, you/it are clearly a proven commodity. I'm not sure I'd be quick to give that up. Unless you are planning to run 2 classes?
Def would be a fun toy, and it "seems" the upfront investment is small... I do kinda agree that just buying it as a toy... and seeing how it works out.. maybe worth a shot... Set a max budget ($600? lol) and do what you can under that, if it pans out, great... if not... CL to some other fool...

I'm definatly not going to quit the B class in the xj...I just thought a cheapo rig in the A class would be cool as well. Prolly gonna pick up the tracker Monday.

I'd love to do an SAS on one of those. I just think they look great on real axles and 35s or 37s. However, you're the one finding the deal. Get it, romp it, stomp it, break it, and I'll call dibs on what's left. I could use the parts. I think you're going to be suprised with how well it does, though.

Ok mr dw if you get this thing, don't think I'll be riding shot gun if you plan on jumping it like that youtube video!!!!!

I will.

Careful, though. You know those Suzukis are prone to spontaneous rollovers and can kill anybody in a three-mile radius of the flop. Even sitting still, they're dangerous.
