A/C Condensor question

I dont know if anyone would know, but would a condensor off a 2001 chevy 1500 pickup fit on a 1998 chevy 1500 pickup?

prob not. 2 diffrent body styles totaly.

just checked on autozone.com and 2 totaly diffrent part #'s

Yeah thats what I figured..well my condensor has a dime sized hole in it, any chance of like welding it back or something?

wouldnt sugest it. if you get a slug of junk comeloose from the weld up job on the inside it could make its way to the compressor and trash it.

Yeah that makes sense. Thanks for the advice man, I just got that condensor for free so I figured it was worth a shot.
