A drill bit that drills square holes

I saw this and thought it was pretty cool. Before I clicked on the link I expected it to be some kind of mortising machine but it's actually an oddly shaped bit with an off center shank.

There is a sign wrong in step (3) which will create a square hole on the outside vs inside!
