a few random diff questions

1. if you have a open diff and one tire is stopped and the other spins, does it spin twice as fast as it would have otherwise?

2. if you have a lockright in the front and a twin stick 'case, can you knock out the front shaft, turn(easier without the wheels fighting each other from a welded front) then put in back in gear? = no hard steering in a 3 point situation? like coming down Blue at callalante?

I need to stay away from the Wild Turkey...

2. I am not sure if you can shift twin sticks while moving. I believe some people drive with one hub locked, but that will eventually break something. I don't think you should be going fast enough that the steering would be a huge issue.
