What can I say. Words cannot express my feelings at this time. At 3:00 on Saturday I went to the blue tent to check on things and my wife turned to me with tears in her eyes and said she could not believe this was happening.

All day I was in a daze as parking everyone one became a monumental task. Saturday night at home I could not believe what Lydia was telling me. 500 trucks and 900 people I knew it was big but the math was unbelievable.

Thank you to all. I just can't express how much it meant to me to see so many folks want our little park to succeed. For those of you who were first timers this is not what it is like every weekend. So please give us another chance to show you our park with a good bit less vehicles.

I have to thank several people and I'm sure I will leave some out but please believe that everyone of you are in my heart and have my sincerest thanks. First Paul Poplin. This was his event he started the ball rolling. Then everyone else who built this up on the net. On Thursday the 10th we googled Save the Gulches and there was 156,000 hits.

Ronnie Nash and family for the huge task of trying to feed 500 more folks than we planned on.

My precious volunteers who own this park as much as I do. Dean Childress my right hand and who tries usually unsuccessfully to calm me down. Thank you so very much. And equally Charlie and Shelly Center who have lived through this park since day one. Joseph and Jessica, Danny King, Hutch May, Brad Seaton, Peter Linley, Boyce (my wifes boy friend), Eric Redd, Art Lambert, Phil Vinson, Dan Morris, (many of you parked in his front yard 2 miles away) Pitman, Robbie, Chris C., Thank you thank you!!! and the woman who allowed all this to happen when it was just an idea, thank you to my wonderful wife.

But most of all thank you every off roader for your continued support.

Speaking as a first timer to The Gulches, we had a blast, and we will be back.
Thanks for putting up with all the Chaos, we wheeled sunday after the crazy amounts of people left and had the best time we've had in a while wheeling.

x2. thanks for having us and having a place for all us thrillbillies to ride. i was a first timer also. saturday was a little chaotic, but everyone did a good job(staff and wheelers) to keep things moving. food was great and riding was great. alot of carnage/breakage took place so everyone must have had a great time.:beer:

It was a blast. GOOD JOB SKIP AND CREW. I was there from 11:00 to 4:00 on sat. I only ran into one hold up on trail 2a for about 5 mins if that. The crew did a great job of keeping people going. I also have to give props for my fellow wheelers seemed everyone was patient and tried to keep the trails open.

AND Much love to xjfreakho and 71 chevytruckguy for pulling the pig out of the mud. Hopefull i will have it up on jack stands and tires off today to start cleaning it.

Skip, you guys deserve it. I wish I could have been there this past weekend, but whenever someone asks me about wheeling, I always recommend your park first. Stay open as long as you can!!!

Skip, this was my first trip to Gulches, but it definitely won't be my last. It's an amazing place to wheel and you and your volunteers were incredibly friendly and helpful. I am already planning another trip back, and will be back as often as I can. You guys did a great job pulling off a HUGE event.

WON'T gonna go...too far away, gonna cost too much...big block tow rig that needs a battery, jeep won't fit on trailer w/ 42's, working late, short on time to get ready, etc. etc.
Called Paul & asked him about the Gulches...he told me it was the like Farm on Steroids...I was like Damn...
In the end, everything worked out & it was my Wife that said, just go, have fun & be safe...I'll take care of the Dogs, Bills & our Daughter.

So...to my Wife, Brother Jeff, Paul & Deanna Poplin, Skip, Lydia, Dean and Yager Fabwerx...

We Got Some Gulches...& one of Paul's favorite sayings sums it ALL up....

BADASS!!!!

Marcie and I ,
Had a great time this weekend .We rode all day with Paul,Deanna and the Boggers on Saturday .Sunday we got to test out my new junk(new to Marcie and I)and broke at the top of 3D in a 44 tsl rut created by Chad. ( funny how it will swallow up a little 37) .
I would like to thank every one for helping us up the last few feet of 3D and getting us to the trailer(BigJUGGY and his co-pilot,Cltdba,jweezyferg,Paul/Deanna).
Also the BIGGEST THANKS goes out to SKIP and his crew for giving us one of the "BEST" wheeling parks on this side of the BIG OL' US.
Lets not let this park go to the way side and forget to keep coming. Without us Skip can't pay the mortgage.
SAVE GULCHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DAMN! What a turnout!
Awesome freaking weekend. Told ya'll this place was worth the drive.
Skip says all the time that Gulches is a park for all types of rigs. Example.....
Two badass BDB rigs took the bypass on trail 4.
I broke a drive shaft, chromo stub, hub gear and a Yukon super joint on Papa Gulch in less than ten minutes.
Rode with a guy sunday that had a mildly built TJ, open diffs and a set of MTZ's. He walked all over trail 3 then drove it three hours home!
(Yes Mudder, I'm bragging on you.)
Please hit up www.gulchesorvpark.com
Join the forum and blow it up with comments It's nice to wheel somewhere that appreciates our hobby.
Later,Paul...

Skip, from me and all the guys from Coastal Carolina Offroad, we would like to thank you for letting us have the pleasure of coming to your park. We are currently planning a Save The Gulches 2 trip very soon. We will do every little bit we can do to help. Again THANK YOU!
