What can I say. Words cannot express my feelings at this time. At 3:00 on Saturday I went to the blue tent to check on things and my wife turned to me with tears in her eyes and said she could not believe this was happening.
All day I was in a daze as parking everyone one became a monumental task. Saturday night at home I could not believe what Lydia was telling me. 500 trucks and 900 people I knew it was big but the math was unbelievable.
Thank you to all. I just can't express how much it meant to me to see so many folks want our little park to succeed. For those of you who were first timers this is not what it is like every weekend. So please give us another chance to show you our park with a good bit less vehicles.
I have to thank several people and I'm sure I will leave some out but please believe that everyone of you are in my heart and have my sincerest thanks. First Paul Poplin. This was his event he started the ball rolling. Then everyone else who built this up on the net. On Thursday the 10th we googled Save the Gulches and there was 156,000 hits.
Ronnie Nash and family for the huge task of trying to feed 500 more folks than we planned on.
My precious volunteers who own this park as much as I do. Dean Childress my right hand and who tries usually unsuccessfully to calm me down. Thank you so very much. And equally Charlie and Shelly Center who have lived through this park since day one. Joseph and Jessica, Danny King, Hutch May, Brad Seaton, Peter Linley, Boyce (my wifes boy friend), Eric Redd, Art Lambert, Phil Vinson, Dan Morris, (many of you parked in his front yard 2 miles away) Pitman, Robbie, Chris C., Thank you thank you!!! and the woman who allowed all this to happen when it was just an idea, thank you to my wonderful wife.
But most of all thank you every off roader for your continued support.
