If you make changes to your front axle that disables your ABS do you still pass inspection?

Yes, you will still pass. The ABS system is not inspected as part of the process. Only the mechanical and e brake is inspected.

They cannot fail you solely for an ABS concern.

Unless it is visibly noticable, then you will pass. But 9 out of 10 of us will pass it anyways. I am an inspector as well.

X2 I'm also an inspector. As long as the brakes work correctly and don't have any excessive travel in the pedal or any leaks, you're good to go. You will not fail just for an ABS light.

depending on year its an emissions issue. i'm not sure on this. i've been told by 20 diff people that its 95+, 96+ 99+ so i have no clue on that part.

96 and later is obd II insp.

95 and older is safety insp., all factory emission components must be present.
