Hey fellas. I have a 90 jeep xj and im lookin for a little bit of a lift somewhere between 3 inches and 4.5 inches (im on a low budget). I dont know alot about lift kits and which company to use so that i can get more bang for my buck so i thought id ask yall for your help and any tips ya got. and if i do hav a 3 inch lift could i put two inch blocks under the leaf packs and coils to add even more lift? just brainstormin. thx for the help!

BLocks will get your axlewrap then a disconnected driveshaft.Blocks on leaf packs will work better but on a stock leaf set they'll wrap and shape like a 'S'. Add-a-leafs or new leaf packs are the way to go, maybe run longer shackles but shim the axle for pinion angle. Or a trip to a junkyard and you can build a bastard pack. ZJ V8 front coils will boost you maybe 2" or a set of 3" coil spacers will run you maybe $45 at most. If you take your time and search the forums for sale parts you can build your kit a piece at a time.

f-250 coils work up front too, about 3"-4", with Dakota bastard in rear you get 3"-4" to match. You need all the dakota leafs and the pack bolts since the new pack is taller(include the overload and it'll cut down on wrap+bottom out) then grind either the center pin down to push-fit the spring hole or enlarge the spring hole. if you can't remove the main leaf [like i couldn't] you can build it in place and just enlarge the hole in the main leaf.

BTW I have a rough country 3" (not sure? bought with it on it) on my jeep and it clears 33's with copious trimming and bending (need to extend rear stops and move shock mounts to gain more down travel, but doesnt rub on road or off unless crossed up hard (then its only rears that rub)
