Air horn ideas

I want to put an air horn on my truck, but I have a couple questions.
First, will I be able to run a horn for a while off a 10 gallon tank and no compressor? I would put the tank under my bed. Also, it seems like I could save a lot of trouble by using a manual valve, but I dont know how I could get the line in and back out of the cab. Any ideas?
If I can not get the lines in the truck, what is involved in wiring the horn? Do I need some sort of electric valve controlled by a toggle switch?

you will be able to run it a few times off your tank, but the problem is pressure along with volume... after you loose so much pressure, the horns will sound different and then stop working... they typically require the air to be in a certain pressure range to work.

I just bought these. The longest horn is 14 1/2" long and this set is described as an "economy set" because the finish is tarnished and the hons might have scratches or small dings. The horns will not be visible so I dont care as long as it is louder than my factory electric horn.

i use to run train horns when i was driving a truck and just run airline hose into the cab with a hand valve. as far as a regulator i didn't use one. a truck uses 120 psi and worked fine, but these were real train horns from a real train so i don't know about what you have as far as max pressure. should be able to get all supplies at truck parts store.

I really wanted to use the manual valve but I just dont see how I would get the hose in and out of the truck.

I had one on my ford truck. 2 tanks under neath with the lines run through the bottom of the cab where the rubber plugs were, then the lines ran under the floor mat to a manual switch that I could push with my left foot. It was fun honkin at people

Holy shit... That things bad ass, but what a gay little car....

I would just get myself in trouble with that thing, Im sure anyone would.

When i had the train horns, I just used a pressure switch to shut the compressor off at ~125psi. No regulator needed. (Nor would you want one, it would restrict flow)

I'm suprised that little car don't Rocket forward during the Horn Blast...that's Freakin' Insane Loud...imagine being inside the car...
