Airbag swap

I was wondering if anyone knew if it would be possible to swap the air bag and or steering column out of a XJ and into a MJ and have it work. Iv wanted a Comanche but i live in Charlotte and are therefore surrounded by terrible drivers.

Anything is possible but you would also have to get the wiring harness and crash sensors for the airbag as well. I've never really heard of people doing that before honestly.

Unless it's specifically designed for that vehicle (i.e. crumple zones, crash testing, accelerometers and all), I wouldn't bother trying to adapt it. You could get seriously injured if it deployed when it wasn't supposed to.

I would say you would be ok if done right. A mj is almost exactly like an Xj.....
