Airplane Laneded On My TJ

Yeah so an aiplane didnt land on it, but thats what it looks like. The poor TJ was a victim of me falling asleep behind the wheel. This happend 4 years ago but it was crazy, I didnt flip, the road went left, I stayed straight and ran into some trees at about 50 mph. It ripped off my roll cage, took out all of the windshield, ripped the pass and backseat out, but left my side undamaged. I was lucky to make it away with just some glass in me and unconscoius for a few hours. I must say, airbags and seatbelts are great. I used to never wear my seatbelt, but not Im glad i wasnt a DA when this happened. I will try to find more pics in the meantime.

I also have this one, which is for sale. Limited V8 96 with full time 4x4. 177k miles. Runs better than any Jeep I have owned so far.

Damn that wreck looks nasty! Glad to hear about the change in wearing the seatbelt. I've known a couple people that could be dead if they hadn't changed their minds about that.

Why is it so many idiots have stories that end with "If I had been wearing my seatbelt, I wouldn't have walked away." I hate hearing that BS. I've only been in a couple of wrecks, but I can say the seatbelt definately lessened the damage to my person! The airbag, on the other hand, I could have done without.
 
Yea the airbag is what knocked me out. But i think it kept more glass from getting in me. Yea i hate when people say seatbelts didnt help them when they wrecked... what is it better to fly through the windsheild? i hope not...


So anyone wanna buy a Grand Cherokee?

Ive got a friend who can make a jeep look like that after one wheeling trip...my crazy friends.

damn dude....they make these things called enrgy drinks or if you're adventurous (obviously) then they make energy pills!!!! you might want to check into that next time you fell a little tired at the wheel...:tongue:.....how much did you insurance jump after that wreck???

Ironically, the truck had 50k miles on it. Its looks bad but the engine was still good, the 5spd locked up but was still good. So Jay @ www.4wdspecialties.com in Gastonia bought it, put a new shell on it, i guess the frame had to be rebent, put a 2" lift on it and some 33's, painted it midnight blue and someone I know bought it for his 18 y/o grandson. 4 months later his big brother stole the Jeep drunk and flipped it on 85 about 7 times or so. He got thrown from the vehicle and survived but the Jeep didnt this time.


Yeah i guess that Jeep just wasnt meant to be :shaking:
 
Aww man you had a roadrunner! I hate it that happened its even worse wrecking a rare car. That rrunner didnt have a hemi in it did it? If so you were sittin on a goldmine!!
 
oh wow man, glad you survived that. I had a bit of an accident as well, but mine was back in March, and I was blessed to walk away from it. I was stopped behind an old lady on an onramp getting onto i-40. a guy didnt see me and hit me at 60mph. flipped my jeep end over end. I was able to crawl out of it and wait for the paramedics to arrive. Life is a blessing!

Wow! Did you see that coming and brace yourself or was it totally unexpected? I cant beleive you crawled out of that, end over end!!! Well man, looks like we both had some angels as passengers! Glad you are still kickin
 
Both of those are bad wrecks. I have been in 11 myself but wasnt driving in any of them. I dont have any pics but me and mom were hit head on at 105 mph in 1996 by a mustang. We used to have a copy of the ticket but probably lost by now. I wont say there name cause there is a couple peeps on here that probably know him, but that wreck with us was his 37th ticket without losing his liscense. WTF?
 
11 wrecks and 105 mph?!?!? Wow man you must be made of metal! I couldnt imagine the carnage a head on collision could do at that speed.. As for the 37th ticket, the guy drunk or just traffic violations? Yea i think some people get their license at WalMart the way they drive.. That or the DMV doest care... which i think is the latter.

if you are reeeeeeeaaaaaally adventurous, they are called hookers. Keep you occupied the entire drive.
