Hey everyone, i just bought an 88 f150 with a 79 solid axle under the front end. its lifted 8 inches on 37's and I need a place to align it. I live in Greensboro and wound definatly like to find a place close by. Any help would be great. Thank you
I can't recommend a place to get it aligned up there, but I can give you a little advice about getting it aligned. When I did the SAS on my Dad's 88 Bronco, I took it to the shop I work at and set up the alignment machine as if I were aligning a 78 Bronco. You could probably get someone to align yours as if it were a 78 or 79 F150. The wheel bases would be the same and you're running the axle from a 79 so the castor, camber, and toe should need to be set up for that axle.
Unless you have a bent rear or bad ball joints you can do it yourself with a tape measure. I have done two SAS (90 Bronco & 2000 F150) and never got alignment. What is the problem?
