i have a set of stock Cherokee wheels sitting at the house that i really liked beofe i lifted the Jeep and put the rockcrawlers on, if i bought a set of 12.5" wide AT's would i be asking for some "pop-off"? the wheels are from a '98 Cherokee Classic (i dont know the width). i found a good deal on some ATs from Bishop so i wanna make sure they would work first.
thanks,
Geoff

Depends on width and backspacing.
If you're planning on running them for the road, then you could be ok, just remember don't turn the steering wheel all the way. :)
If they are 15x6 rims? (No clue what size stock XJ rims were? But I'm sure they varied? ) you might have weird wear issues or have to run them with very little air pressure.

i wanna say 15x6ish, i will measure them when i get home. i will be using them just for the road, im tired of wearing out my MT/Rs going back and forth from school
thanks,
Geoff

I imagine they are 15x7 unless they are the lowest model ones. Sports, classics, limiteds, and countrys all had at least 15x7s, and some SE's even had 15x7's.

geoff, it depends man, my guess would be 15x7's. that's the usual size unless you get the se cheapie wheels. also, if you can find a set of rims from a tj w/ the 30" tire package they should be the 15x8 canyons.

and if it's a 33x12.5 i'd get some 15x8's. sell ur stockers for 150 or so and take a 10 or 20 dollar hit and get some more rockcrawlers.

I ran 33x12.50 MT/Rs on a stock XJ (cheapie) rim without problems ....other than the wicked rub.
