When I originally swapped in the 360 I just modified the 258's power steering pump brackets to fit the v8. It worked fine but put the pulley dangerously close to the lower radiator hose. I finally came across some v8 brackets, and I can't seem to get a decent picture of exactly where they should be bolted to the block. Does anyone have any pictures of their engine where you can actually tell how it's connected? Thanks and Merry Christmas

I found some pictures on the net. Turns out I was just ripped off. The guy sold me a bracket that had been cut in half and is missing the other half. That sucks

wow...that does suck. Is it someone local that we should avoid?

Perhaps. I have sent him a few PM's and am going to give him a chance to make it right before dropping any names

well good on you. I sure hope it works out for you!

I apologize

I have sold many things and this is the first time I have ever had a problem

No you were not ripped off, just so everybody knows, I had no clue there was anything wrong with the brackets that I sold him

reason being they came off a running and driving CJ with a 304, in which the power steering worked great, and was very tight

I did not cut the brackets and had no clue they had been tampered with, or I would not have sold them to you

we have pm'ed back and forth, and the problem has been resolved

Yeah, sorry I didn't get around to updating this thread sooner. The problem has been resolved. Mods can feel free to delete this thread. Guffey24 has really been a great guy to do business with, and was simply unaware of how the brackets should look.
