So I think there needs to be another asheville area meet and greet soon, i wasn't able to make it to the last two and it would be great to meet some new guys to wheel with.

I'm down with that...I couldn't make it to the last one because I was at gulches for a competition. Hey John, when are you gonna go wheelin with me and Jason???

hey brandon...good question...i still need to put my front control arms on sometime soon

There's a trail about 25 miles across the TN line called Bumpus Cove. It's a mild trail depending on weather. On a scale of 1 to 5 where 5 requires a buggy I'd say 2 if it's dry and 3 if it's wet. I do not reccomend this trail for someone who is afraid of the skinny pedal or possible scratches on their paint job. It take 4 to 6 hours depending on how many times we stop.

hay i'd like to do that i live about 2hrs away in nc but all my fams. from jcity. tn. newport airya the would be a blast:driver::Rockon:

There's not any great food places between the trail and asheville. My vote would be to to the trail kinda early and have lunch on the mountain and maybe a nice dinner after. My club may be riding that date also, so it could be a huge ride. Since you guys have a ways to travel how about 10am?

I'm ok with whatever as far as times go cause I will be a passenger seeing as my heep isnt done yet...but, is there an address or something so people could mapquest? Or maybe an address we could all meet at to then go to the trail.

Did you check the link I posted? Here's a cut and paste from it. "To get there from I26, take exit 39/old exit 18."
That means take I26 to exit 39. It's about 45 minutes from Asheville.

butthurt?

well, in his defense you can't view your board without signing up

OH!! SORRY man, I didn't know that. I totally apologize.

Here's the post from there.

It's a great trail that has been done with 33's and no locker, but I recommend a locker, as this is one of the more difficult trails around. Always go prepared for the worst. If you have winch or lockers you should be ok. There are bypasses for the worst parts, but you never know when something might go wrong.

To get there from I26, take exit 39/old exit 18 and turn away from Erwin (SR 81 towards Jonesborough). After you cross the long bridge (over the Nolichuckey) make a left onto Bumpus Cove Rd. Go about a half mile and make a left at the first split towards the campground (Little Germany - around the horseshoe in the river), then over a little bridge, and then right - continuing on Bumpus Cove Road. That will take you about 2-1/2 miles to the end of the road cul-de-sac. Then take the paved road up the slight hill, cut left onto the tiny gravel road, and go past the house. Generally, everyone meets at the cul-de-sac.

If you make a right too quickly (before going over the little bridge), you may see a graveyard on your right, just continue, as that short road comes right back into Bumpus Cove Road.

If you're coming from west of Washington county (say Greene county or further), take TN hwy 107 & follow it all the way to the stop sign at SR81 by the BP Market and take a right onto SR81. Go past the Embreeville firehouse (on left) and Bumpus Cove Road is 1/4 mile on the right.

Coming from Jonesborough, take SR81 out of town, go straight past the 107 right turn to Greeneville, then go past the Embreeville firehouse (on left) and Bumpus Cove Road is 1/4 mile on the right.

I took it as sarcasm and treated it as such. If that's not the case, then I apologize and hope he accepts. When I met him he seemed cool but folks change when on the internet. i have to get e-tough sometimes too.

Yeah man, I was trying to be sincere. I had no ideal you couldn't see it and I started it by jumping on you. So my bad. Sorry
