I am wanting to sell a vehicle, the only catch is it is registered in my dad's name. He bought it years ago for me. What is the easiest way for me to sell the thing?

I have the title with me, but do I need to send it to him to get it signed over to me, and then I have to apply for/receive a new title before I can sell it or what?

I am trying to get this vehicle gone as quickly as I can so any help is greatly appreciated.

And my dad lives 4 hours away, so getting together to sign the title to me is a little more difficult.

Open title, have your father take it to a notary and sign in, the notary can stamp it, then whenever you go to sell it the new owner just has to sign there name on the title and go to DMV.
