I have a terramite backhoe I am looking for a manual steering box. It is a 1987 model. Mine is broken the whole bottom broke off and was lost. And I know several people on here use/buy equipment. I tried Terry’s Terramites and they don't have one. One guy told me that a 87 model Harley-Davidson golf cart with 4 wheels had the same steering box and I cannot even find one of those. On Tractobynet someone mentioned that early cub cadet used a similar manual box. The numbers on mine are T1348905788. Just thought I would ask one here incase someone might know of one. Thank you.

Post a picture if you can find one. That'll definitely help.

There is one near Goldsboro, Worthington Ag Parts. They have/had a bunch of old stuff. I know it's not close to you, but it may be worth a call.

these guys have some parts manuals posted
If one of those is yours I'd dig through and find the part number they use for the box, or hatever part it is.
Then you have something specific you can Google.

Or just call those guys and ask. It may take less time to have them ship it than hunting all over the state.

Already have the manual. Called and talked to them before I posted this. They have nothing and don't know where I can find one they did tell me the boxes also came on some Willys jeeps and power king tractors but didn't know what years. If mine didn't have farmer fixes done to it maybe I could match it with a picture. It is boxed with plate steel all around it. I am afraid to remove the plate and screw up something and not be able to move it. I am trying to get someone to send me a picture of a stock one. If I can get a picture I will post it and I will post a picture of my box this evening. Part number is in the first post and google brings up nothing. I posted this because I know there are a lot of guys on here that know of old junk yards and equipment sitting in barns.

Old LeeBoy 300 & 400 rollers used these boxes. Late 80's to about 1997.

Is it a Ross steering box from a Willys? View attachment 1754591594605.webp

All the ones I found were power steering. I need a manual box. Looks a lot like a willys jeep box.
Then the ones you found were not old enough. Went to full hydraulic steer in 97. I remember scrapping those manual steer boxes back them couple pallets in the dumpster.
