Any 'GOOD' Citrix Admins out there?
I have some questions in regards to best practice approaches to backup/recover the whole environment.
My preference is to ALWAYS, rebuild, reinstall and reload config and DATA, as it allows the most flexibility with hardware configurations and frees some resources with the backup system potentially at a time when its being heavily used.
But this requires you have a clue how you setup and configured a system and have things in order and documented. (Ha Ha).
These system(s) have been vendor configured and currently running with no backups. They are requesting full bare-metal type support, which I am refusing. My saying No doesn't help them solve their problem. So....
Are there any internal tools/utilities that can dump the internal config and user DB etc.. that can be collected with normal backup tools, and re-imported into a fresh install if/when needed.
Be happy to give anyone a call.. I'm looking for a 5 min answer and some direction to send that team off on.
Any help/tips appreciated.
