Any good military surplus stores in the triad?

has anyone mentioned delks yet?

they close at 1 on saturdays...FYI, dont waste a trip on sat afternoon. best thing is....from winston, its not to far out of the way on a trip to URE.

I live about 4 miles from Delks......There t-shirts and pants are reasonable, but If you want anything else they are HIGH! Example.....set of Rockwell axles..1 front 1 rear....$2500
Dana 60 front $2000.

^I asked Delks about a set of 4 12 bolt H1s and 37" goodyears. They told me $1000, and the tires were half worn out! I don't think I would look there for any big ticket items.

I doubt its "worth the trip", but the most impressive MilSurp store I've ever seen is Colonel Bubbies in Galveston TX. Huge place with a little bit of everything... new and used uniforms, gear, vehicle parts, gun parts etc... from several different forces (US and others)

Check them out if you ever find yourself in the neighborhood
2202 Strand Street
Galveston, TX 77550

or online...

thats crazy knowing what they pay for the items.

For $2500, you can buy the whole truck from the govt.

I've been to Delks.

As others have said, pricey. They had some really cool stuff but overall I felt like Sportsmans Guide would be cheaper.

However they have EVERYTHING. If you dig, you can find some good prices.
