Heres a couple pics of mine after a little muddin. I've had the truck about six months and have added steel wheels and 31 m/t's, and manual locking hubs. My plans are to lift it six inches and either run 33's or 35's, regear it 4.88 and lock the front and rear, and make tube bumpers for the front and rear. Money is tight right now so I'm not looking to do this anytime soon though. Looking forward to going to ure soon, maybe I can meet up and wheel with some of you on here.

Welcome and nice truck. I like the plans you have for it.

I've got a 2003 Edge with the RCD lift, body lift, and 35s. It does alright with the ifs kit but would be so much better sas'd. :poop:

Nice truck, I'm loving that tubed front bumper. I think I'm gonna stick with the ttb front suspension instead of a sas. There are some ttb trucks that do really well, I know there's alot more involved though, plus it would be somthing different, almost everyone that wheels hard has a sas. Thanks for the compliments.

I've just started on my "new" 85 Ranger. I'll get some pics up later. 4cyl, 5sp, D35 TTB, 8.8, 2" lift, 33's. It's being built for the race and I'll use it for crawling too. I'm determined to see how much flex I can coax out of the TTB.

sounds good, i'd be interested in how much you get out of the ttb.

"James Duff" they are not bling bling or very famous, but soft and flexible as they get. They also don't do huge lifts but with trimming you can run all the tire the front TTB wants. Ran 33 boggers on that set up and 32 11.50 tsl. Recomend the later tire, both broke front axles on a lockright.

A guy I know kills shafts with 32s. Open front dif

Dana 28's were in the front of all the square head light b2's and Ranger's. The later model Rangers started seeing Dana 35 fronts along with Explorer's. The 28's break very easily on 32's. And all the auto hubs sucked. I blowed an auto hub clean out of the wheel playing in our vegetable garden once, where I grew up. Only thing left was the stub shaft sticking out.

Yeah, my truck has the dana 35 ttb in the fron and the 8.8 in hte rear, i think I will be fine with 33's but may have issues with 35's.

Yeah, the auto hubs are garbage, mine were broke when I bought the truck, I found out the hard way, this is the first 4x4 I've ever owned, I've always been a foxbody mustang guy, so all of this is a learning experience.

My plans are 3" to 3.5" XJ/ZJ/TJ front coils with Ranger STX axle pivot brackets, F-250 shoch towers and extended radius arms back to the trans crossmember with Johnny Joints. Stock Ranger coils are about 500ppi, most aftermarket lift coils for Rangers are around 400-450ppi and XJ/ZJ/TJ coils are around 250-300ppi. I've got a set of 2.5" Rancho's in it now and it hardly even compresses them at all and they have a rate of 430ppi. The rear flexes stupid crazy. All I'm running is stock 85 Ranger leafs minus the overloads, 2" shackles and opened up the spring clamps. Right now I have the bed off of it to finish the work on the rear but even without the weight it still flexes like mad. I'll get some pics up soon. I just have a problem with stopping to take pictures. I get too involved into my work.

bret's ranger has CRAZY flex out of the rear.....damn near flipped the truck over with all 4 tires on the ground in the ditch out in front of his house....lots of body roll....this thing is gonna be hard to beat in stock class for the race!

My brother has a 01 Edge with a 4" lift, add a leaf in the rear, and his torsion bars all the way up...He is running 35 baja claws.....(he has ran 37 MTRs for a couple of days though!) He has not regeared yet because he is gathering parts for his SAS which should come this summer!! He has custom rock sliders, custom front and rear bumpers!
