Any small diesel mechanics? 3 cyl Kubota diesel needs rebuilding (maybe)

I have a 3 cyl Kubota D600, 16 hp, on a lawnmower. It is way down on power, really bogs down in thick grass, like it won't add more power when needed to get through. Any one have experience with small diesels interested in taking a look at it? It seems pretty basic, almost no wiring on it, but could be a wiring issue. I just don't know enough about them to know what to look for.

So looking for someone to diagnose/repair and/or possibly rebuild it if I can afford it.

Thanks,
Shannon

Try replacing the fuel filters first. Some of the older 3 lungs in the small fords and kubotas has pump issues as well. Does it smoke blue when its "bogging"?

blows a little blue smoke, but not super bad. I haven't acutally run it a few months. eed to get some new radiator hoses.

Also try sharpening your mower blades. I'm not trying to be a smart ass but most times people don't do it. Grease the spindles if it can be done and check the belts and idler pulley(s)
Also, check the air filter but definately the fuel filter.

that's a good point, but it bogs without deck engaged too. Just no power.

I put myself through school doing landscaping and lawn maintenance. You can never have too sharp of blades.

air filters are always clean. I'll have to check fuel filter.

Got an hour meter? If so, how many hours? I think 3000 hours is the average life.

Run some B20 biodiesel to clean out the crap and then change the fuel filter. Like others have mentioned, clean fuel filter, air filter and SHARP blades.

Yo,
Get B20 at:
BP/Han-Dee Hugo service station at 401 Benson Road in Garner

3000 hrs out of a Kubota ? I would expect MUCH more than that from the brand !!

I havd 4cyl diesel fork lifts with 10k+ hours and still running strong, and you can not tell me they are treated better than a mower.
and many more LP/gas powered lifts that have over 8k hours, also not treated kind.
Some serviced no sooner than every 400 hrs.

I'd be really disappointed to find that Kubota averages 3k lifetime.

Blkvoodoo I havd 4cyl diesel fork lifts with 10k+ hours and still running strong said:
What brand of diesel engine ? My diesel forklifts are beat to death and rusted away by 10,000hrs but I have alot of LP stuf with 20,000 - 30,000hrs.

TOYOTA diesel engines, they are Toyota forklifts, have many 4cyl 2.4L and I-6 4.6L diesel lift trucks that I service/repair.

The "other brands" don't seem to last as long, but I could be biased
