thinking about doing cross over on my 89 dodge and im not finding anything anywhere about it. looks like the box will bolt to the frame like a gm but has some big bracket that holds it off the frame. just wondering if anyone has done it

Nope, never been done, no one wheels old Dodges :flipoff2:

If you pull the steering box and bracket off you will see 4 holes in the frame. Remove the bracket from the steering box, and youll see where the box will bolt right up to those 4 holes on the frame. Stock 2wd boxed bolted up in this location. Then get a dropped pitman arm, steering arm, draglink, and either heim joints or tierod ends to tie it all together and call it done.

Ramchargercentral.com is the BEST place for 74-93 Dodge info. Theres even been a write up on crossover for the Dana 44 and Dana 60.

kinda what i was thinking im putting 440 in it now and got the front clip off and was looking at it today and figured that would work cause they list the same part numbers for a 2wd box as the 4wd well thanks for the input. Im glad many people dont wheel dodges more parts for me!
