Daughter-in-law of a good friend has a broke-down ford Ranger up in Cary. It's at their house, I think somewhere near Harrison.

I got a trailer, and I got a winch on my CJ...but obviously can't trailer the CJ up there, load the Ranger, and get both of them home.

I just need somebody to winch her truck up on my trailer, shouldn't take but a few minutes....maybe somewhere around 4pm or so. I got snatch block, other rigging.

Take the winch off your jeep and bolt it to the trailer. and take your battery too.

unhook trailer
tow strap to ranger from towing vehicle
block trailer tires
blocks under rear of trailer (to prevent tipping)
pull up ranger
hook back up
You'll be in and out in 10.

Well, I got a trailer winch that's waiting to go on, but no time for fab today.

That's what I'll probably end up doing, done it that way a time or three. Just looking for easier/faster/safer with winch. Figure somebody needs  $$ for the weekend.

If I wasn't so far away I'd run over.. I know these little things are much easier with a separate winch.. I've used a come-a-long to pull cars on before and it takes some time...

Got it done....chained winch to trailer (the winch I have but haven't welded the trailer mount for yet). Worked great. It was on a bit of a hill (uphill to the trailer -- a comealong woulda been a workout.
