anyone going to Galloways show?

Is there anyone going to galloways 4wd show this weekend?? Ill be out there just curious if anyone else is...?
 
i think im done with galloways after taking my past and present trucks to there shows and pulls, seems like alot of money for bullshit and then I still cant get a decent price on tires lol!
 
Used to go and loved doing it, but now it's just a dick measuring contest and guys who think they should be on some pedestal because their rig is involved. I haven't been the last few years. I hope that didn't offend anyone here and if I judged you wrong, I'm sorry. Either way, I'll be at Pinks All Out.
 
I'm going to spectate, support Ricky Bobby and hang out with my main man Josh, oh and maybe his dad mbost too.... :D heheh

Haven't been ever, but having dealt with Lester for years, it isn't worth it. Went out there recently, he said "Ill match any price you've been told" I said alright well Summit has 36x12.50 tsls for 210 a peice. He said alright. I get out there and he didnt have them in stock, and said he could have them tommorow for 925. I was like wtf? Bought the cheapos I got now and went on my way.

Btw, I could have had them shipped to my door from Summit for 885
 
I have story after story about wasted rides down there to "deal" with lester but on the other hand I have heard people having good luck with them who knows.The show is crazy though,you pay 35 bucks to show and then another 7 to get in!Then how they judge you is retarded,I had a guy in a "show truck" S-10 SASed beat my yota in the rock crawler class and he didnt even have driveshafts in it.......when on the score sheet it says driveshafts must be installed and 4wheel drive must work(meaning driveshafts being installed) and come to find out he beat me on drivetrain lol!
 
Thanks to those that are comin out, hopefully the weather doesn't kill it, have had a ton of feedback on the event, think its gonna be a good turnout for the pull of both trucks and spectators.

Dude . . . what is a daggum back to back truck pull if not just a you know what measuring contest . . . ha, dude I make a living on guys every weekend, in every type of off-road competition - Mud, Rocks, Racing, Pulling - that when it really comes down to it are nothing but who can trump the other dude.

Now, acting like a idiot because you've got an attitude for no reason cause you think your the greatest thing around - not cool - and you get those, but they just make fools of themselves.

I mean I got no problem admitting I do what I do for the chicks, and usually they prefer the dude who carries the biggest stick, sure that Hot Chick in the Audience might say "Oh he's just compensating for something" . . . thats fine, I'll let her sit there and think about what I may or may not be compensating for :smokin::lol:






And for those commenting on the show part and Lester . . . No comment, lol :shaking::lol:

HAHA...I have no problem with the trucks hooking up. I thoroughly enjoyed that...and I realize there is some dick measuring when it comes to that. My issue was more with the dicks driving or the dicks beside their trucks. For some reason as the years went on, there seemed to be more and more guys there that thought their shit didn't stink. I'm 24 now and started going in my early teens and I saw it then. I'm just not one of those guys that's gonna have another guys balls on my chin because they're the 'cool' guy at the show or because they built a gnarly rig. Most of us here have enough know how to build just about anything given the proper tools and enough money, so why bow down.

Plan on coming to spectate and say hey, and I like the pulling. Long as it ain't raining.
 
Well very interesting opinons. Ive never been so im goin to go if it aint raining. I have a show worthy f350 but i dont like entering in shows. I just like goin down the road and someone give me a thumbs up. and of course the chicks. :eek::cool:
 
We will see what the weather does.
 
me and my family are going and meeting some guys from work. went last year and had a good time, except for the announcer! :fuck-you::beer:
 
how much does it cost to get in now?
 
i think its $7 per person $3 to park. pretty sure:driver:

Yea $7 to get in, $3 to park - the parking goes to the Fire Dept or w/e charitable organization happens to be manning the Parking at the time.

Whats this mean?The facts I stated arent true?the show use to be awesome and so was the pulling but its got rediculous especially for the money and yeah I shouldnt have to say what kind of awesome deals galloways gives away lol....

What he means by that Ben is that he's not a full time employee of Galloways anymore. And for the show part Ricky just doe's the calling on the pulling. I agree the judging is not what it should be on the trucks and jeeps. It' still a good time just to go watch the pulling, I wouldn't enter the showing part of it even if I had a nice truck or jeep.
