Anyone have nutserts in Charlotte area

Called Fastenal and they can't have them until Wednesday. Went to Lowe's and Northern Tool this weekend and neither carry them.

I just need one OD 9/16.

Anyone have any?

Check these guys. They've always had anything I need. Cheap too, might want to stock up on misc bolts/nuts while you're there. Bring cash, that's all they take.

What thread pitch?

I'll be honest, I don't know how to tell that. I think I ran it in to the wall plate at Lowe's and it was 3/8 16, but I can't remember that far back (Sunday).

thread pitch easy

3/8 dia bolt and 16 threads per inch

pitch is a term for the threads per inch.

or if metric its easy

8mm bolt with 1.25 pitch

Anyone have any other ideas.

I need an OD 9/16 with threads for an 3/8 x 16. Leaving for ECORS Harlan on Friday morning.

I would call around to some race shops. I dont know of a hardware type place that would stock anything larger than 1/4" thread. Might also try some custom car audio shops. Good car audio installers are using nutserts on alot of projects now.

also just recalled ford for years used big rivits on door handles.

so if you need a big giant crimper for those try a body shop thay will have big crimpers for those big rivits or riv nuts.

try Kenneth G Lilly Fasteners in Shelby. They had the cheapest grade 8 nuts and bolts I've ever seen. I bought all my stuff for rear 4-link for $28 www.kglilly.com Might be too far to drive but just walk in and they'll help you. Call first, but they have the craziest stuff I've ever seen.

I called the fabricator that sold me the kit. He said they source their nutserts from McMaster. Ordered some last night, should be here tomorrow.
