I am stumped with my burb. I replaced the timing chain the other day. It started and backed out of the garage. I tried o restart it the next day and it is (I assume) out of time again. Tore it back down and the marks do not line up. I am supposed to take it to URE Friday afternoon so if anyone wants to take a shot at it tonight or in the morning let me know. PM me or call me 910-8one8-39two9. Thanks, Sean P.S. I am near he corner of Hope Mills Road and Cumberland Road behind Golds Gym.

did you put no. 1 cyl at top dead center on the compression stroke? pull spark plug, have someone bump the starter while you hold finger on spark plug hole untill you get no. 1 piston at top. you can tell diff. from strokes, compression stroke will start making pressure against your finger. then check to see where your marks are on crank and cam gears.they should be pointing at each other ( cam gear point facing down, and crank point facing up, should be close together like this : hope this helps you out dude.

Yes everything is lined up like it should be. That is what has me baffled. Thanks for the help though

If everything was done right and lined up, did you bolt the dizzy back down? Don't mean to insult you, but it's one of those easy things I always forget to do.

Ok here it sits. Dizzy reinstalled and bolted down, #1 TDC on the compression stroke, Timing marks lined up ("touching each other"), Rotor button is facing #1 as well. It was so out of time (I assume) that it blew my muffler into pieces. I am going to press on to URE in the towrig and just hit some light trails in it. I will start fresh on the Burb next week.

It was bolted down tight but loosened to twist it trying to get it started.
