Anyone with a yj

have a problem with water not just leaking in but pouring in where my feet are on driver and passenger side. happens whenever i go wheeling or when it is raining hard. im guessing water/mud in engine bays leaks through. wanted to see if anyone else had the same problem.

It's coming from the cowl vent. There's a hose that's supposed to drain the water out of there, but it gets stopped up. Under the hood right in the middle of the firewall there should be a rubber hose about 1"-1.5" dia, it's crimped flat on the end.

It's supposed to open up when water gets in there and drain it out, but it usually doesn't work. Just cut the crimped end off the hose and it will drain out, and not go all over your feet.
